A positive Prince thread: What are some of Prince's best lyrics? "You were so hard to find
The beautiful ones will hurt you every time" I've been in more than a few The Beautiful Ones-esque situations; this line in particular always resonates with me. "It's time we all reach out for something new That means you, too" No line ever heals me after a painful break up quite like that one. "Holding someone is truly believing there's joy in repetition" So romantic, and so true. The Kid has written more than his share of good lyrics in his career. What are some of your favourites? The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

"Power fantastic is in your life at last You're a little apprehensive Because what it is is what you want and need." The first time this lyric really hit was when I was falling in love. Thru out the past 20 odd yrs, many lyrics from prince and others have stuck in my head, but nothing as powerfully as this:
Old, old friends 4 sale Get'em while the gettin' is hot But U better watch out, they'll kiss U until they get what U got And they'll show U the friends that they're not Old friends 4 sale If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

I just cant believe all the things people say-Controversy Am I black or white? am I straight or gay?
