Oh my Gosh! I remember when I first saw the video, I think the world stopped turning for 2 1/2 minutes.
It was just so captivating, him with the lovely auburn hair bouncing and jumping around. It was so pure, so clean, so precise. Not since Michael Jackson's "Rock with You" have I liked a vid that just focused on the peformer, just the performer with a mic in hand and looking at the camera. It was hot. And Bandstand was just hilarious. I still can't get over those saran wrap pants Andre was sporting! LOL! I love a Man who:

awful. I saw both versions and the second one is even worse. His AB performance and interview were uncomfortable to watch. Child, his guitar fell off when he was performing Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad.

From what I read about that American Bandstand appearance, Prince was pissed that Dick Clark kinda put down Prince's hometown. Saying that he couldn't believe this type of music came out of Minneapolis. I guess the moral of the story is if you want Prince to talk, don't fuck with Uptown.
