Prince Retirement Party?

Breathe Fams!!! Before you go losing what's left of your minds...I don't know and pretty much don't care, if Prince is retiring or not. Ok? No? Try breathing deeply into a brown paper bag! Better? Good! Now on to my post...

As a fan on this purple journey for some 30 years now, from the absolutely phenomenal right on through the what the bloody hell is he smoking? I've seen it all and for the most part enjoyed the hell out of the ride.

With the exception of the last several months and quite a few WTF moments here and there, being a Prince fan has been a major part of my life and a major part of who I am today.

With that said, I was wondering if it would be in bad taste to throw myself a Prince Retirement Party? Honestly, before all the recent sue happy drama, I was hoping that he'd retire and celebrate that fine moment with his fans as only he could...with one hellified farewell performance, preferably in Detroit. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening and as it stands right now, I still plan on retiring even if Prince doesn't.

I've been doing this for so long that it honestly feels like a retirement for me so my question is...should I celebrate my retirement with one last hellified Prince bash as only I can do it or should I just box up my paisley toys and put them in storage and just Letitgo? What do you think?

Id say read your own sign off, you cant retire from prince or retire prince. keep those pretty paisly toys right out there in the open to remind you and all who know you that you are young at heart and still that same gal from 30 years ago. he aint gonna retire and even if he bows out the music lives on. so instead of a retirement party through a lifes just startin party and girl, make it purple!!!

You got to party Honey!!!!!

And for a weekend too! Friday night thru til Monday Morning.

You can not devote 30 years (I'm on 22 myself) to anything and just walk away!

If you're serious about this - which I think you are - you need good and proper closure.

And you need to do it so good that you know there may be no need to go back!

If Prince has been a part of your life for 30 years, SexyBeautifulOne...I am sure there will be no retiring, from listening to his voice now and then for the rest of your life....
