Tom

Who the hell is John Prine?

Every time I'm looking for Prince CDs I always accidentally stumble on to his stuff. Have any of you ever bought one of his CDs out of curiousity? lol.

Yeah, same here. I'm sure that I own all of Prince's material that has been released via Wrecka Stow. Yet I always go straight to the Prince section anyway.

I always see John Prine and Primus...No offense to Primus fans but I literally through their Cd's out of the way in search for something 'Prince' or prince, that I don't already have.

I guess it's wishful thinking...though every now and then I'd run across an import smile Like a needle in a haystack...

Batdance

Well, the way to tell a real Prince fam is if they go straight to the Prince section and remove the Purple Rain and 1999 CDs from the front and start organizing all of the CDs by year of release. smile

HILARIOUS!

This is the BEST post EVER!

I've been wondering who the hell "John Prine" is all my Prince-fan Life!!!

Who else is disgusted when you needlessly check Prince cd's and find 6 "Very Best of Prince"'s, no "Rainbow Childrens", are amazed when there's a copy sighting of "Grafitti Bridge"; do you snicker and write off a record store that stocks only "Purple Rain" and maybe the "Hits 1 and 2", and VBOP? Who works here? Don't they know they should have "Lovesexy" in stock, for crying out loud?!?! If I worked here, i'd make SURE "Parade" was always here!

Fuck!

LOL...this thread is too funny!

Maybe this is the question that would
set apart diehard fans from everyone else.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Great post. I've always wondered who the guy was, too.
I think I downloaded a song a while back but can't recall the song. I think it was folksy.
While I don't go so far as to rearrange Prince albums by year, I do put the latest release out front, like Rainbow Children, and return albums in the wrong section to the right place.

Whenever I find someone else's CD in Prince's section, I HAVE to take it out. No one deserves to be next to Prince!!
