Exodus is my favorite though. I love thee hell outta Hallucination Rain and the segues are hilarious. "Play me summa dem '45s ya got over there...I ain't leavin!" "Did anybody ask you what'chu know?" "Sonny T, effin' wit me, wait till he gets a couple sips of that Hallucination Rain...ain't gonna be nuttin nice, nuttin nice..." Mash Potato segue. And my favorite...when P starts screaming on NPG Bum Rush The Ship. stay calm and no one will b hurt man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

but the NPG early 90's is different then the NPG albums of mid 90's. The first one was about Tony M. and the other ones were Prince behind a scarf.
Goldnigga: Can I say OK? A lot of the songs were weird...Johnny was cool Exodus: A lot better... THE GOOD LIFE Newpowersoul: NICE!!! ... was it NPG or Prince (p was on the cover) Prime aka The Kid

I remember the first time I heard Get Wild it was on the Saturday NBA show with Ahmad Rashad. He introduced it as: "He are the slams of the week along with the new song from the NPG Get wild." I much prefer Gold Nigga to Exodus.
The title track is really dark and hypnotic and Tony M's smooth delivery on that track kinda reminds me of George Clinton on P Funk. But Black MF's In The House is my jam! I love Prince's impression of racist Texan rednecks - and fuck me it's funky!

Morris Hayes, Mike Scott, Marva King, Rhonda Smith, Kirk Johnson are named as the members of The NPG in the credits. Regardless, performs almost everything on the album. Kirk handles the drum programming and horns by The Hornheadz are featured on several tracks (The Hornheadz is The NPG Hornz minus Brian Gallagher). Additional horns on "When U Love Somebody" are played by Pierre Andre-Baptiste, Clark Gayton, and Wayne DuMain. DJ Brother Jules does some record scratching on "Mad Sex" and "Push It Up." Chaka Khan lends her voice to "Push It Up" and "Come On." Former NPG guitarist Kat Dyson plays bottleneck acoustic guitar on "Come On." Doug E. Fresh delivers a rap on "(Eye Like) Funky Music" and appears on "Push It Up." Rhonda Smith plays fretless bass on "The One." Larry Graham also appears on the album, although he isn't credited for any specific input. from housequake ^^
