It's ok, but Prince wrenches the song out of his gut and heart, that why it touches you so deeply, and no one will EVER play the guitar solo like he does so.... why bother? why listen to any other version? 
Actually, while I'm in the mood for making dramatic statements, I'm going to change 'touches you so deeply', to 'makes an imprint on your soul' - how's that!! [Edited 12/19/07 13:07pm] | |

I do not want to hear or see anyone but Prince singing Purple Rain. It isnt fitting for anyone else but Prince to sing. Actually I dont see it fitting for anyone but Prince singing about anything thats Purple lol Out of the hundreds of songs in the catalog pick any other one but Purple Rain or When Doves Cry at that.
Warner Brothers or whoever needs to get a clue. Stop allowing the crappy remakes of this classic! [Edited 12/19/07 20:12pm] | |
