I am completely done with Prince. I have been listening to Prince for most of my life now. I'm 30, and I've been listening to him since I was probably twelve. I shouldn't have been at that age, but I was. I stuck with him through the good times (sign o the times), the bad times (chaos and disorder), and the unspeakable times (the whole Larry Graham era). I waited for my pre-order of Crystal Ball patiently, just like every other die-hard for over a year. I stuck with him throughout the whole name-change fiasco. I bought an album with him in a bright blue metallic suit with his hair in dreads on the cover. I tolerated his multiple attempts to recapture the attention of the mainstream by "rapping". I've been through a lot with this little bitch. I've seen him in concert from the front row, I've been at after-parties.
But I will not tolerate one more single attempt to attack his fans as he is doing now. He has done it multiple times over the years, but I always just chalked it up to eccentricity and egomania. I just can't take it anymore, though. Honestly, maybe I would feel differently if he had just released something as great as SOTT, or Lovesexy, or even Musicology. But this last album was a smoking turd and he should be thanking us for even coming around this place, or caring what he's up to after releasing something like that. I actually bought two copies of Planet Earth, one for myself and another for a mentally challenged person that I know, who was a big fan of Prince back in the day. I thought it would brighten his day to get a new CD from an old fave. I thought it was crap. This guy, who it really doesn't take much to entertain, said that it wasn't very good either. He was being kind because I purchased it for him. I don't know. I guess Prince thinks he doesn't need fans. Maybe he actually doesn't, who knows. What I do know is that he definitely has one less. Two, if you count my mentally challenged friend.

Should we set up a bucket, for donations for you? If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

The funny part is the total of "be gone" replies in threads like this, are drastically getting shorter.

I LOVE Prince's music and I always will. He has been my favorite musician since I was 2 and I'm 23 now. So since 1986/Parade/UTCM Prince Rogers Nelson has been my favorite musician. I do however hate the way he is treating his fans and the internet sites. That is messed up and he needs to stop deleting his content and get a life. He should be glad that his fans are still interested in his old stuff and want to check it out on the net. I think it is a CRIME that fans can't show their love for Prince on the net and that we can't watch cool videos of him on youtube and myspace anymore!!!
What the fuck Prince?, you made all this cool music over the last 30 years, why can't we be nostalgic and enjoy and treasure it?! Why must it be deleted? Get a life Prince! Go back into Paisley Park and give us something better than "Guitar" and "Resolution" those were lame!

You are either on or off the boat. He is what he is.
He is still Prince Music, love him for that, if nothing else.
