r u ready was gonna be on rave, and it was played early 1999

I thought it was only debuted live in May of that year and was possibly scheduled for a Larry Graham album rather than Rave. Or do you know of it being played earlier? Is there a tracklisting of Rave Un2 where it was included?

RAVE OUTTAKES:
According 2 The Hornheads web (projects)
"The Hornheads are on HOT WIT U and MAN O' WAR.
Three other tracks were recorded for this CD [Rave un2 the joy
fantastic]. Atleast one of those (which is loaded with horns)
may end up on the NPG limited edition of Rave."

I just received an e-mail from Michael B. Nelson, of the Hornheadz, which included
three titles of tracks he recorded with. They are:

"R U Ready?"
(A lot of you have heard of this track already - funk tune)

"I Ain't Gonna Run"
(12/8 shuffle - happy tune) Wasn't "Temptation" in 12/8 time?

"Y should I Do That, If I Can Do This?"
(funk tune)

He's heard that "R U Ready?" might end up on the Special Edition of RAVE, but
he's unsure of the other two. He's not even sure if they were ever intended for RAVE.

I hope we get to hear these some day."

...and probably Annie Christian were never performed at a live show.

I have a very cool live version of Annie Christian.
Recorded february 28, 1982 in the Saenger Theatre, New Orleans.
It has a great guitar part in it.

Yeah, I figured that.. That's why I stated "Probably" Annie Christian.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

This seems to indicate, as I read it, that whilst the Hornheadz website originally suggested that 'R U Ready' was recorded for 'Rave Un2', Michael Nelson then stated he was never sure they were originally for the 'Rave Un2' album but, after the release of 'Rave Un2', he thought that there was a possibility that 'R U Ready' might be included on 'Rave In2'.
