Tamborine Live performance

Just wondering if this song has ever been performed live? Is there an official list of official tracks that have never been performed live?
I assume I am not alone in loving this song.

Aside from the Aftershow performance (London, New Marquee, October 6 (am), 2002) which was only the drum beat and first four lines of the song, Prince also played the drums to the song earlier at the soundceck attended by NPGMC members (5th October, 2002, London Hammersmith), whilst waiting for John Blackwell to take the stage.

To answer the question about a list of songs officially played live, or alternatively never played in live performance, I've never seen a list.

I don't know about that. Ronnie, Talk To Russia and probably Annie Christian were never performed at a live show. And many others.

It took me many years to appreciate how fantastic this song is! I too have a tendancy to scream this out usually in the shower or when the vacuum's on!!!

Liberating!!!

The MArquee version is pretty good all be it 4 lines long. When he says "just checking if the funk is still here" everyone goes mental cause he doesnt carry the song on!

I used to think it was "Trampoline" sad
I got more hits than Madonna's got kids!

How silly and naively gay of me not to pick up on your connotation. And I'm usually so quick to pick up on such references. (I am aware that the song isn't about a percussion instrument if that helps me out in any way!)

I think I got wrapped up in myself too much thinking about my performance of the song to appreciate your 'performance'! Sorry.

I hope the quality of both compare!!!!

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I have a very cool live version of Annie Christian.
Recorded february 28, 1982 in the Saenger Theatre, New Orleans.
It has a great guitar part in it.
