It is so great that there can be an on air outlet for prince's awesome music! Thank you once again for making it happen for NYC and the World!

 Hi purplecam...good show right? I especially loved hearing the live version of "3121" with the horns in the beginning, it's that New Orleans sound.....that was awesome.

No, not soundboards...just most of the aftershow from 8/14 (w/Beverly Knight) and then 9/21* (when Amy Winehouse opened). I'm guessing they played the "For Your Memories" recordings. But you can download the WBAI show from their archives so for those who didn't already have those shows, you can get them through WBAI. *not sure how much of this they played, as I had to leave at 10pm & haven't listened to the latter part of the show. ur shout out is in the 2nd part devoted and u know we had 2 press 4ward or prince history instead of doing some time traveling back 2 the 80's then again the london main shows were all about the 80's anyway right? lol the aftershows was where the funk was 4 sho!!!man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81 | |

Sorry if i am asking a stupid question but i am trying to play the archive show and it will not play on my computer, trying to work out what is going on????? Is it cos its an american show and i can't get it or is it more likely that i just don't know how to work the damn thing. For some reason I cant even access the www.wbai.org website, I have tried just about everything I can think of, from shutting down firewalls, norton and windows security. But I keep getting the same message, that the site is not available, is it possible that this may have something to do with my internet provider. I also have not been able to access thedatabank.org for months now. Any info on how to remedy this problem would be greatly appreciated.
BTW heard it was a great show If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

BTW heard it was a great show Can't help you with the WBAI thing, but I do know that the databank's layout was recently updated and as a result some of the links are now invalid. Just type in www.thedatabank.org into your browser and it should direct you to the new & improved site. Then you can re-save that link to your favorites. | |
