Please don't DISRESPECT a man who loves music and tried to share with others who want to hear and enjoy music amoungst each other, theirin lies the problem it's not about liking everything someone does be it Steve or Prince...you have choices in life if Prince is so corny why come and post to a fan site ? like the saying goes if you have nothing nice to say or type say nothig at all, big difference between FREE speech and NEGATIVE SPEECH.

this is why Prince doesn't want to be bothered with any fans at all and will say FUNK ( listen to the song ) YOU.

you rock on STEVE ! we appreciate your love of FUNK...SOUL ..AND HOUSE MUSIC.

-----
Prince has been doing cover songs in concert back to “88” especially at aftershows for European audiences and he said he was toning down his show. Therefore, he is not going to be performing “Gett-Off or Erotic-City. I wish some of the naysayers would think and try to know what they are talking about before the post. If you think P is a bore stop wasting your time listening to marathon radio shows or coming to Prince message boards.

I really enjoyed having the opportunity to play my guitar alongside "SOMEWHERE HERE ON EARTH," towards the end of the eveings festivities. It was originally intended only to be done at home during my practice sessions for the WBAI SPECIAL, but we were all feeling it, so we went with it. I was totally amazed how it moved everyone including myself. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.
THE CROSS as well was meant to be a quick instrumental piece, but FREDDIE came in and gave it the SOUL that it needed!!! Once again I am so BLESSED and GRATEFUL!! Thank You all!!! I look forward to the FUTURE and playing for you all again!!
STEVE- GET US THE TIME!!! I have a ton more up my sleeve!!! I have just scratched the surface!! THANK YOU TAMIQUA and PORTA for all your support and LOVE!!!

I have to say I was impressed and enjoyed that show. I listened to the entire 5 hours and could have listened some more. Hearing the live London performances was awesome and you felt the energy the crowd was feeling. I have to say other songs that were played from shows in Las Vegas brought back many fun memories as well.

Just listening to the live performances, you were able to hear the various forms of music Prince is genius at playing while at the same time, able to connect with people from various backgrounds through his music. whether it's jazz, blues/soul,spiritual, rock, r&b, etc., that's what a music genius is able to do..reach his audience through his music.

Honestly, at first I wasn't going to tune in to the show, but I'm glad I did. Good job guys.

I really had such a great time listening to the broadcast Saturday night. I had a test for a city job earlier in the day that caused me to miss the first hour (thank God for the archives!) but from 8:15pm till Midnight, I was stuck to the radio and hearing those Prince songs was just what the Dr ordered. There is nothing like Prince music and hearing it on the radio is icing on the cake. I hope you guys get to do at least one more show this year cause NYC needs it BADLY. Thanks to the enitre WBAI crew for making NYC funky again, even if it was for a few hours! Peace to all of you! biggrin biggrin biggrin

No, not soundboards...just most of the aftershow from 8/14 (w/Beverly Knight) and then 9/21* (when Amy Winehouse opened). I'm guessing they played the "For Your Memories" recordings. But you can download the WBAI show from their archives so for those who didn't already have those shows, you can get them through WBAI.

*not sure how much of this they played, as I had to leave at 10pm & haven't listened to the latter part of the show.

How was playing those bootlegs legal? won't they get in a whole lot of trouble paying fines and such?
