08. New Power Soul
09. DJ Seduces Sonny (segue)
10. It Takes 3
11. Rain (segue)

Not that much is known about the evolution of Emancipation
There was an interview early on where Prince mentioned that the album
was going to have anything up to 56 tracks! The only early configuration
I'm aware of looked like this (and was also titled #New World')...

01. Right Back Here In My Arms
02. Slave 2 The System
03. Slave
04. New World
05. 2020
06. Feel Good
07. Journey 2 The Center Of Your Heart
08. I Am The DJ
09. Emancipation

Those early version of Exodus with the more live NPG tracks were HORRIBLE in my opinion! (songs like It Takes 3)

*shudder*

'It Takes 3' is the absolute worst - It's a funny idea though and went well with the time, but the song is just awful.

'Proud Mary' works OK, the other live tracks, not so much.

The long version of 'Hallucination Rain' is stellar. cool

Not really, that's a normal sort of delay time between recording and release.
Anything within 12 months of release would be considered fast really.
