One of his best?

i love it...but one of his best? maybe...cha know, some of his later gems' legacies are hindered because of the albums they are on...this might just be a classic but i just cant shake the baggage of listening to the rest of the beast to hear it.

i guess this is my own fault since i could easily create a playlist that removes the dead weight but i guess i was born an album lover.

I actually think all the ballads on Emancipation work well together. Even though ballads aren't my thing, on this particular album, they just seem to work. Emancipation, for all it's faults, isn't half bad if you just give it a listen.

As my siggy notates, I LUV THIS SONG! I love the part below most all. There is some thing so beautiful about it. The music is dreamy, and the lyrics are nice and spoken so well. The whole thing is just dreamy, nice to daydream to.

Harmonically, it's actually quite advanced - a minor blues progression that's been altered to sound almost poly-tonal.

I've always been fascinated by this track!
