"Purple Rain" 12" Import.......COPPED IT!!!!!

Nothin' special.....
"Purple Rain" (LP Version)
and "God" (The B-side)

BUT- It also had the "God Instrumental" on it!!!!! The song where Prince & Apollonia do the nasty in his basement!!! Worth the $11 I paid for it!!! Got it at Sonic Boom in Seattle!!!!!

lol I still have the original 12" in my garage somewhere - my first Prince purchase! lol

When I first listened to God on the B side (before I saw the film) it blew my mind!! biggrin

I wanted this one for years, then along came e-bay....e-bay is good. I too like the instrumental version better than the vocal version.

he re released on vinyl in the the uk and i got it pluse 2 other 12inch vinyles (by p) for £10 smile

Totally agree, I used to have it recorded from the vinyl. Downloaded, it's purely a masterpiece for me. What a pleasure 2 hear it with a great sound..... lol

I LOVE the instrumental version of GOD. Beautiful guitar playing by P. The vocal version is some of the weirdest sounding singing I've ever heard. P is doing some insane screaming on that track. I bought this as soon as it was released in 84.

nod I love the vocal version! My flatmates used to run out of the room when I played this screaming, and saying "OMG that's SO weird and scary". It took me to another planet - bliss! lol
