Snoop Dogg's Sensual Seduction video omggg

He totally ripped off When Doves Cry and Little Red Corvette with the video, and though I like it, I'm reading you tube comments and laughing at the stupid kids who think it's so old school and 70's, why can't they credit prince? This is why he's so weird for removing his videos from youtube, how are the kids supposed to know who did it first then?

I don't think he ripped Prince off..... I think it was more like paying homage to Prince that's all!

because it is old school, and other parts were a tribute to mo-town/disco/soul. I think he was doing a Prince parody, that's all.

First of all, the song itself, sounds nothing like Prince. The video is obviously an homage to the Prince videos off of 1999 -- and specifically the video for "When Doves Cry." The video for "Doves" is not that well known today and I don't think most "kids" would have ever seen the video.

Snoop said the video is him in his "Prince/Michael Jackson" mode....so the entire video is not specificaly Prince, but a large part of it is.

I know the song doesn't sound prince, I meant the video. I don't see the mj influence other than being reminded very, very slightly of don't stop till you get enough.

It's sad that when doves cry isn't known for the video, I knew it since I was 3, probably a couple of years after it was released, and thought those effects were really cool.

Don't get me wrong either, I love the snoop song, but I can't stand it when people don't know the history behind anything

In the making of the video Snoop said that he's paying homage to Prince so that the young kids today can know where the original funk came from. Cheers to Snoop!

Somebody at another forum said there are references to Rick James and Afrika Bambataa too (I didnt notice) and it´s probably a homage to the early 80s.
