.Orgers out ther, please tell me more about this video. From what I know, it was supposed to be a documentary on the Contorversy tour also featuring some other cool stuff. But why was it never shown? Will it ever be released to the general public? Would I be able to find it on the WWW? Details, please.

After viewing Statler's raw footage from the Met Center concert, Prince was impressed and excited. He decided that he wanted to develop the project into a 'drama documentary' by incorporating vignettes between songs. There were even discussions about blowing the 16mm film up to 35mm and getting theatrical distribution for it. The film project was tentatively title The Second Coming.

Shortly after Prince had finished the Controversy tour, Statler and his crew went out to Prince's Chanhassen home to film more scenes for The Second Coming. They shot some footage in Prince's bedroom of his new female protege, Vanity, and another unidentified woman, both in their underwear, portraying a master-slave relationship, with one of them in a dog collar and leash. Another scene was going to be a close-up of Prince, with the camera zooming in from a long distance, showing his feet and legs, and reaching his crotch as he opened the trenchcoat to reveal his bikini briefs underneath. The project did not run smootly, however, as Prince insisted on shooting scenes over and over, never communicating what he was looking for or what his general aims for the project were. The film session turned into "48 hours of madness," according to Statler, "Prince had some scenario in mind, but he pretty much kept it to himself. I was in the dark about the whole thing. We started filming various set-ups with these women. Then we shot hours and hours of Prince 'exposing' himself. We all lost track of how many hours we shot. At one point I said, 'I got it,' which was unfortunate because, of course, Prince didn't think that I had it. So it turned into a power struggle, 'I'm gonna show you. I'll tell you when we have it. You don't tell me when we have it!' He wanted to show me that it was his show. I went over to Steve Fargnoli and said, 'We've already shot three rolls of film for this one shot.' But Steve just said, 'He's the man. When he says 'quit,' we quit.' So then, one by one, the crew members took turns filming. God knows how long it went on, but that's when the whole thing started to fall apart".

After his falling out with Statler, Prince professed not to like any of the initial edited footage and the project ground to a halt. Statler also claims he was never properly paid for his work. Having cancelled the film project, Prince adjourned to Sunset Sound to record overdubs and mix live tapes from the Controversy tour for the projected live album. However, after two weeks he lost interest and abandoned the record. He was restless to work with his new side project, Vanity 6, and embark on his next studio album.

What? I can't Believe this. Well,I Never bought DMSR. Prince was shooting a scene with the 2 girls like an S&M scene was it kinda like Automatic? And he was Exposing Himself? What??? Oh,God...I am going to Die! Are you For Real? Shit! I would have Loved to have Experienced that Scene for Sure...!!! My Heart is absolutely Racing! Maybe in the Future He'll release it or even shoot some new footage. I want to Pass out right now... I Can't Fucking Believe it. Man of My Dreams what a Fucking Stud. What a Man! Why did Prince always think he had to Hide this stuff from us. You are right I Know I am not alone for wanting to see this kinda thing. I find it Hot and Intriguing. Why would he Care ? His fans were Always Wild!
