biggrin You should try to make it to Bunker's on a Thursday. It's true that Bunker's showcases quite a few funky bands headbang And most Thursdays You have a chance to see The New Congress. They're the band Prince dropped in on last week and there's a good reason why he's interested in them. They are a band of real musicians playing real music. I haven't seen anything like this wide range of tight, hoppin, funky sounds.
If You can go see them, You won't be dissapointed. headbang

Sounds good Malbena!

And MZ, Prince drops in on Dr.Mambo's Combo more frequently then he does The New Congress biggrin They are also ex members of Prince's entourage. Not to mention Michael Bland is the drummer! and Sonny Thompson is becoming more of a regular with them.

It's true- At times, he is there quite often. It's been a little while, so I wouldn't be surprised.

nod I like Dr. Mambo's Combo too!! Prince chose them to play at Paisley Park after the Tamar concert in 2006. I've been meaning to check out The New Congress for some time, then i was reminded to check them out, it's great fun hearing different bands. biggrin
The New Congress sound totally impressed me.headbang That nite they brought Jellybean and GB Leighton up on stage and I hear You what You are saying about Michael Bland and Sonny Thompson.
