but I'd imagine you're among those singing along when Prince sings that piece of crap revisionist history of a song called "Avalanche."

LOL Dude... You could have come up with a better argument with than that lol. "Avalanche" is a good song musically speaking, but lyrically I couldn't give two hoots about it. I think you're barking up the wrong tree if you're desparately looking for a 'fanatic' to pick on. I love his music, but I also have my fair share of reservations about some of his beliefs. In this case, I was merely suggesting to take Kevin Smith's opinion with a grain of salt. I'm not flatly denying that Prince said it by any means. But I'd imagine you're among those who love to label people based on a sinlge post wink

Consistency is important, I think. When a great musician makes a decades-long habit of suing his fans, it puts his capacity for antisocial or malicious behavior into clearer perspective.

Hey, settle down people, I read a lot of Toejam's post and they reveal a well rounded person in my opinion, in fact I look forward to seeing the keyboard and reading his/her (not sure which) opinion. Getting back to the subject at hand, P has shown consistently he has a great sense of humor, has musical talent beyond belieft and a lot of other things including poor relations with many of the people that have shown him love and supported him in the past. Many a bridges have been burned and a lot of sorrow has been sown. He of course has lifted up millions with his music and that part has never been in question for me. I am very grateful for that but the way Kevin Smith describes his experiences in not that surprising in fact it is very easy for me to believe thats how it happened from someone who has not signed a confidential agreement. Of course I wasn't there and I am not saying it's 100% accurate I am merely saying P's religious beliefs are obtuse and very one sided. If you asked for me to see him in the studio jam or have a religious conversation with him I would jump at the studio session. As far as the religious conversation I would say no thanks and go and take a dump.
