You said it for me sexxydancer! hey, this isn't "fawn over prince all the time dot org". we are all still here because either we do or we did or we hope to once again have great admiration for an artist...and while some (like the two of you) swoon time and time other's have become a part of the larger community and enjoy this place for that. so. slow. the. roll. I think that Prince's religious beliefs have stood in the way of his creating the kind of music he use to and are the cause behind a lot of his actions of late. I guess It's time to admit he's NEVER gonna be the same guy he use to be, but he's still a great musician and entertainer and that's what counts to me.

My only complaint is that he became a JW instead of a Christmas/Easter Baptist.
Why would he deprive some church of his choir directing skills or the fab hats he'd rock every Sunday I don't know, but I guess he's happy.

BTW this is one of the nicest and honest posts I've seen in a long time here.
No 'I hate this..' or 'Why can't he do this?'. Honestly, when I visit the org, I get bored with his music too. There are some great people here-and there are some shmucks, a lot of them. But either way, it's not about the music, not his music. Check out the SNL 'Fury' performance for starters...brilliant, no matter what CD you like or don't. Then watch the ALMA awards performance. God I loved it! Then, the super bowl halftime--wow! I'm not saying it makes the albums any better, but he is still the great live performer he always has been. I'd finish off these performances with the RNRoll hall of fame set/with my guitar gently weeps, or with simply the Tavis Smiley performance of 'Reflection'. Just a sweet beautifully sung song. And i hope you find your way back to his music or it finds it's way to you. Peace.
