The reason why christians celebrate his birth is God so loved the world that he sent his only son that he may save his people. That is why his birth is celebrated and important.

And you don't find what you typed to be backwards?

Jesus was a spirit person before coming to the earth. He wasn't JUST BORN. He did not know he was God's son until he was a teenager. The Bible doesn't talk about his life as a baby AT ALL. If God wanted any significance placed on his birth or him being a baby then he would have it be inspired to be written. Jesus was not mentioned again until he was a young boy several years in age.

If christians really wanted to give honor to someone they would follow Jesus' own example of following in his Father's footstep and not take something pagan and try to sugar coat it. It's been proven by scholars that are no affiliated with any religion that christmas is 100% a pagan holiday that's been accepted by some christians and given a 'spin' to it. This holiday previously was used an insult to the Creator and used to worship false gods. So how could anyone with a conscience follow traditions that were used to deny God?

i see some one doesn't know there bible... let me help you, tell me what did the 3 wise man come to do? didn't hey come from the east to celebrate the birth of the Savior.. c'mon now read before you spurt out your interpretation..

Matthew 2
The Visit of the Magi
1After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[a] from the east came to Jerusalem 2and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."

Luke 2
11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

Hey this sounds like a party to me..

they came to worship and celebrate the birth of baby jesus as said in the hilarious film talladega nights .. who prayed in baby jesus name.. i like that film...ok i'm thru. i'm going back to listening to the "united states of division.."

You want to say that I don't know the Bible? If you read those Scriptures FULLY, you'll see that King Herod used the wise men to find out where Jesus is because King Herod was out killing all the first born sons because he was afraid of Jesus coming. The 'star' that was guiding the Magi sent them FIRST to King Herod. Do you think that was inspired of God? To send some fortune tellers to a man that was out to kill every first born boy which would have been Jesus? Is that an event you think God was happy about?

Oh, and yeah, how approved was God with these 3 Magi? Magi's were fortune tellers, astrologers. Since you know Scripture so well, I'm sure you've read Deuteronomy 18:10 which says people who practice such things will not inherit God's kingdom.

So, you think Jesus is being honored by celebrating a holiday that puts glory on 3 men that were being directed by satan to inform King Herod of Jesus? That were despised by God because of being involved spiritistic practices? God protected Jesus by giving the magi a message in a dream to not go back and inform Herod of Jesus' whereabouts.

And since I do know my Bible, if you keep reading the rest of that chapter in Matthew, it speaks of Jesus as a YOUNG CHILD not a baby. Only the shepherds were with Jesus when he was born and there was no 'star' at that time. The star was shown sometime later and the magi went to Jesus' HOUSE and he apparantly was at at least a few years old then. The presents they brought were NOT for his birthday.

That was very considerate of them.
I'm sure that just like all other kids who birthdays are on Christmas,
he would've felt jilted that his day of presents were limited to just one day a year, while all the kids got two.

Oh
& forgot to capitlize all the "H"s when refering to Jesus as he & his.

Hopefully that's not a sin dire enough to send me to hell.

And on the first day, man created god.
In my opinion, that's when trouble started in this world.

Jesus is a special baby because He was born from emaculate conception...through hearing....and faith cometh by hearing...the word of GOD.

To ackknowlege yourself as a giver...You must also recieve...

When we are all considered equals, it is not so foolish to celebrate everyone's way....A Jehovah' Witness doesn't have to give presents for Christmas or Birthday's but as lover's of all people, you must recieve from Christian friends.
