That it is as I'm not watching what you are watching but I can assure you and attest to the fact that Prince did in fact steal, borrow, use or whatever he wants to call it, a great deal of his shtick from Rick James and James Brown and Little Richard and Jimi Hendricks! There are indeed recorded evidence most of which are overlooked by the masses supporting these claims!

Why does this pop up every week? From what I understand, Prince jacked James' act, or what you wanna call it, while he was on tour with him. Why must we debate facts?

Yes, Prince copied Rick's stage moves.
Now close this thread. It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

concert from the early 80s To Rick's defense, of whom I'm a huge fan, I purchased Super Freak Live 1982 several months ago, and the sound quality of that DVD is utter CRAP! Rick James always put on dynamic concerts, with all the bells & whistles, but this DVD shows him in the poorest light imaginable, IMHO. It's as if they recorded the sound on that DVD by having some guy from the audience hold up a single microphone attached to a $20 cassette recorder. If this is the performance you caught on BET Jazz, then I can understand how you'd be disappointed. But Rick was a phenomenal performer. I had the great opportunity of seeing him in concert twice, the first time of which Prince was his opening act.
