My neighbor...Lou...in his early 70's is about to bring me a bottle of wine...So I thought I'd play him some Prince...since he is only slightly familiar....I'll let you guys know, what he thinks of Planet Earth when he leaves after while...Bless his heart....He lost his wife last May.

Have any of you ever shared Prince music with someone much older than you?

My mom loves Prince! She's gone to the Jam of the Year tour and the Musicology tour!

The Rainbow Children through...the digital garden....He was happy yet had a few beers b4 getting here...I told him that I was gonna come online and announce his opinion...and all I got out of him was that he could tell that Prince was black...I asked him if he knew any Prince songs at all...Lou said, "no" then I reminded him of "Litle Red Corvette, and 1999" and Lou said, I was trying to put years on him...I said, "I'm putting years on me...I went to the concert" Lou said, "Yeah...but you were just a youngster. Maybe he's a new fan...I hope so...He will be if he continues to come over...

He was happy and comfortable the whole time he was here...and that's all that mattered.

Yes! I was driving my 83 year old father to the grocery store to help him do some shopping, and I had Rave in the CD player with The Sun,The Moon,and Stars...and Man O War playing. He said to me: "This doesn't sound like the music I used to hear on the radio when I used to drive my car a few years ago!" What am I doing tonight? I'm in a local production of A Christmas Carol that opens tonight.

I'll probably listen to Prince on my iPod in the dressing room. I'm hoping that channeling him will help me get my eyeliner on right.

I played Musicology in the car with my Grandparents when I was visiting in 2004 and they liked it. Before. my grandmother only liked Purple Rain, and maybe a few other songs and my Grandfather liked Prince so playing something that wasn't offensive around my folks was great fun.

Tonight, I'm not doing anything except watching TV and calling some friends.

I work on the weekends, so I'm going to bed early!

i phoned my mum (who was in greece on her hols) on the 21st sept to inform her the concert was being televised via sky - & i would be there! she simply mustn't miss it!
she informed me after she only coped with the first couple of minutes cuz she didn't like it.
i told her she must b getting old & miserable, & reminded her she'd always asked me 2 point tht out if it was the case!

Took my mum to the D&P tour, she absolutely loved it after years of listening to me play his music. We had a great day, something she still boasts about to this day Unfortunately she was'nt well enough to make the O2 shows but taped the live feed from sky news on the final night while I was there. She even wants him played at her funeral

Tonight I'm going to a friends Birthday Party. They're all Punker/ Bike Messenger types so I don't think there will be a lot of Purpleness going on... Good beer though...

My mom liked Planet Earth too. So I bought her 3121, and she rocks out on it all the time.

I would recommend this to your friend; he's around the same age as my parents.

I'm being normal if that counts 4 anything but watch the snow come down, be happy!
