my PLANET EARTH review My fave tracks of Planet Earth: "Somewhere Here on Earth", "Future Baby Mama", "Mr. Goodnight", "Chelsea Rodgers", "Resolution". Personally, I prefer the demo version of "Guitar" that Prince released on 3121.com just 2 days b4 the amazing Superbowl per4mance. I luv how the cover's a hologram, just like Diamonds & Pearls was. It probably helped the album sales. But so did attaching it 2 the Sunday Mail. Besides the Earth Tour live at the 02 (21 Days in London), Planet Earth hasn't had good promotion. "Guitar" was the only single, without a real video (only a brief clip used 4 the Verizon commercial). "Chelsea Rodgers" and "The 1 U Wanna C" singles were cancelled, and "Chelsea Rodgers" video has only been available online. "Somewhere Here on Earth" video is finally premiering in January, but only in Italy. Also, I think the album's 2 short & has 2 much guitar. Not enough funk! The new song "(P)FUNK" (Sold on iTunes) is a breath of fresh air from those crappy rock songs, even if it's a diss 2 us fans! Overall it's kinda good graphics-wise, but hardly great musically, 4 a Prince album! Planet Earth gets: 3/5 Stars just 4 the cool packaging! (although that 3121 background is pretty tacky) [Edited 12/19/07 11:03am] Stuck like glue!

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

f.u.n.k. is better than the whole album
the only saving grace on planet earth is somehwer here on earth and guitar otherwise it's pure garbage!!! man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I'd prefer it w/out the 3121 background, like so.
