Head.
The way that bride-to-be left her groom-to-be because of Prince's spunk always pulls at my heartstrings.

Either that,
or I think I may be developing a heart murmur.

The first time I heard the ending guitar solo on Planet Earth.

It was such an incredilbe musical moment. The tone of the guitar strings had such passion in it. The fusion of it against the backdrop of the song.A moment
like that is rarely captured when it is live let alone a recorded version.

Amamzing stuff.

Not too many of his songs have made me cry but the few that have are:

1. Purple Rain- very passionate! something about that opening guitar riff makes my eyes swell up. It's a beautiful and sad sounding melody. Wendy and Lisa have said that when they were recording it some homeless woman with her bike came into the warehouse studio and just started bawling when she heard them playing around with the melody of Purple Rain so I know I'm not the only one.

2. The Ladder- because it's beautiful soulful and kind of sad sounding

3. Condition Of The Heart- the same reasons as The Ladder

4. Let's have a baby- because he lost his son shortly after that song was made

5. Sometimes It Snows In April- when he sings the part about crying for Tracy cuz he wanted to see him again always gets me, it always makes me sad and gives me goosebumps

6. Gold- I'm not really sure why this makes me cry but there is something powerful about it that just makes me emotional.

7. God- one of the Purple Rain B Sides is quite beautiful and makes me cry

8. The scene in Purple Rain when Prince walks in on his Dad Francis L. playing the bridge section of "Computer Blue" on the piano makes me cry. That has to be one of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard. Also when he tells him to never get married. Even Albert Magnoli (the director of Purple Rain) gets choked up talking about that scene, so again I know I'm not the only one.

i think i said it before but, the only time i ever got choked up listening to a prince song was the first time i heard the song 8 from the first madhouse (which is essentially prince) album of the same name. something about the whole buildup with the flutes and all is so pretty and sad and i don't know, it just got to me. still does. one of my favorites. one of the most beautiful songs p ever made.
For all time I am with you, you are with me.

Lion of Judah got me slightly misty-eyed. Mainly because I was going through a hard time at my job, and it gave me that strength to be strong, the way I think Prince also has to look deep within for power. I survived my own challenge as well.

That is a sad song. Spooky too, the synthesizers, the screaming and sobbing in the background.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I remember when Prince sang that song at one of the celebrations in Minneapolis. I definitely had tears in my eyes. It is a beautiful, sad song.

Still would stand all time. The spiritual message took hold of my emotions, reminding me that if we run to the Light, we can leave our past behind. The message that we need to fight injustice instead of one another is a hopeful sign. Prince reminds us that there's Love that's waiting right around the corner, that reaffirms we are not alone...even when we think we can't make it... Love opens it's arms. This song is beautiful and Ageless... heart

electric intercourse live at first avenue. Each time I watch him sing it with such lust I wish I had been in the audience .
Purple rain always gets me and sometimes it snows in April live at the O2 on the opening night : Prince alone on stage singing to us was an unforgettable moment.

eye Wish U Heaven....

This song means a LOT to me. I was watching the video the day I had my first date with my boyfriend. I started crying like crazy because I was so very happy to have him in my life. It felt incredibly good to have someone who nurtured all parts of me body and soul. It just...it made me feel like God was listening and helped me to finalize the toxic relationship I had just gotten out of. Like...he presented me with one of his most beautiful creatures in the world...

He gave me the heaven I had been praying for over and over. biggrin

there's also something about Power Fantastic and Still Would Stand All Time that make the hair on my arms rise.

I think it's just the music and the way he sings in them. In Power Fantastic the chorus does it 4 me, and in SWSATime, I like when he sings:

"ooooo Heaven, we all want 2 find...still would stand all time..."
