Exact dates aren't known, but it was mostly new material recorded during
1995 and the first half of 1996. | |

He says in one interview that it was a 2/3 year project so if it was released in 1996, I guess he could have started working on it in '94? | |

yeah, cos Right back here in my arms was recorded in 1994 and in the album booklet it says that its the 1st song recorded for emancipation. although i doubt prince had any specific plans for the album at the stage i just wish their was some kinda list that says when each prince song was recorded | |
