Show/Spread the Love

[Excluding the last three albums, there's already enough talk about them]

In the spirit of the season, how about giving support and love for the albums that are the most criticized and/or are often the ones most commonly dismissed as "throw-aways"?

I know all of these have a handful of their own fans.
Take ur pick thumbs up!

Chaos & Disorder
Kamasutra
NewPower Soul
Exodus
Slaughterhouse
The Chocolate Invasion
NEWS

I might have forgotten a couple from the mid-late 90's and early 2000's, though. confuse

Let's keep the fighting to a minimum.
Show some love for the albums that get very little of it.

Kamasutra, not "Karmasutra".

Exodus shouldn't be on any list of criticised work as it is mad genius and out of this fucking planet.

Chaos & fuckin' Disorder.
Despite all the bad-mouthed rantings about this friggin' album,
when I'm in my studio, late at night & closed off from the rest the world,
I'll give C & D a few turns & think to myself,
"Damn! Even after reading all the bad things that people post here on the org,
I can't stop seem to dislike this album."
That's how much ass this CD kicks.
Just enough to take all the negative views that I've read about this album & make 'em shut the fuck up.

i haven't really heard kamasutra yet(in fact i'm listening to it right now, believe it or not). all of the other ones are okay. i just heard exodus recently and agree with the other orger that it's the shit(check out my signature). all of the songs are cool and i even don't mind all the interludes. love that "mashed potato girl" skit and the bit where he gets robbed("you oughta let me have 50 dollars man", lol ). some of p's weakest efforts have cooler stuff than lots of other artists, and some junk too, granted, but that's what the skip button is for. also, you forgot come, the rainbow children, emancipation and rave which also get little or no love.
For all time I am with you, you are with me.

Chaos&Disorder, The Chocolate Invasion and The Slaughterhouse are all classics in my opinion.

New Power Soul has some throwaway but it's worth just for the supreme genius of tracks like "Come On" and "The One".

N.E.W.S is OK if you're in that chilled out ambient mood.

Kamasutra I can live without.

Exodus is not bad.

Chaos&Disorder shouldnt even be on this list, its the best 90s album he made, and would have been a hit if it wasnt for the time it was released.

I'm a little hesitant to add those to the list.

Rave gets a BAD rap like nobody's business.
But everyone has an album they personally advocate 4 and personally, that would be mine. I was just so interested in what everyone else was going to say that I want to let the ball roll w/o my input. And I'm kinda sick of the line "I like RaveIn2 better"... I'm not about to spend my money on something "better" than something I already think is good enough on its own.

Emancipation, Come and The Rainbow Children have had plenty of talk about them. But it's clear to me that they're not forgotten about... a lot of the albums I mentioned are often forgotten about (heck, I'm not even looking for any of them personally).

Come has gotten plenty of love around here, so I didn't mention it. And it's another personal favorite of mine. Emancipation has an even distribution... half the people love, half of the people hate it... I could add more to that discussion, but I don't have it, as of yet.

I must say, though, that Emancipation holds the record for the album the most people have tried to talk me out of getting falloff

I've come to know this album as being notorious for a lot of hatred... and there's a small percentage that think it is completely off-the-wall (really good). Why not put it on the list? lol

My favorite album in this list has to be The Chocolate Invasion. That should have been the "comeback" album in 2004. There were some smokin songs on there like Vavoom and When I Lay My Hands on U. That's my album right there.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

not that anyone cares, but i just finished listening to kamasutra and i can kinda understand the hate. it's kinda the same melody(as decent as it is)over and over on a handful of the tracks. there's that one song that sounds like an old madhouse track that i like(kamasutraoverture #8,i think). other than that it's not that bad i guess(it's prince,so). if i'm in a low-key classical kind of mood i might throw it on. although i think xpectation is a little bit better in that respect,so.
For all time I am with you, you are with me.

I think you'll find that a lot of people who hate it havent even heard it. In fact those who have heard it and dont like it seem to only hate the one song "right the wrong" because it has a country feel to it (because most prince fans are into funk+rock, they cant tune their ears into a new concept). No CD is too good to be amongst those others you mentioned.
