Annie Lennox chooses 2 Prince songs on her iTunes playlist

From http://phobos.apple.com/W...43441&wm=1

"Little Red Corvette" (Track 6) The genius... The enigma... There is only one planet Prince!
"Raspberry Beret" (Track 7) I just have to have one more of you... Mr. Prince... this is one of my favorite songs of all time! You kill me, man. Who the hell was Mr. Magee, baby? I wanna know!

For some reason she's someone I always thought would not like Prince much. Interesting to see this.

It's too bad iTunes doesn't have the extended version of LRC.

She has a great playlist, though. I love every song on it - including Wichita Lineman, which I suspect few people here remember. cool

It always amazes me with all these famous people when they pick Prince songs for lists how they always pick the same old well known ones!!! Dont they realize that theres more 2 Prince than LRC, RB, Kiss, Purple Rain, 1999, etc.???shocked shocked

If only these people knew what WE know!!!!! lol lol lol lol

I know right?! They are missing out on so much it's not even funny.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I'm pretty sure she got that. I think she means...who was Mr. McGee in Prince's own life? You know...like...who was the inspiration for that character?

Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics is a big P fan and I remember when Candy first got involved with P, she had been working with the Es - she got the offer and they told her go and play with P, an offer not to turn down.

Re the choice of songs, the fact of the matter is these people are songwriters themselves and the reality with P is that many of his most famous songs are also the most well-written - The lyrics/imagery in LRC is amongst his very best, Kiss is one of the most perfectly-crafted singles ever, and Purple Rain packs emotional punch.

More a case of if we knew what they knew.

I love Annie Lennox. Her voice is GREAT! She is one of the best and it doesn't suprise me one bit that she would like Prince.
Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Great, I love Annie. Little Bird was on when I made up my mind to leave a bad relationship. Her voice is beautiful. All this stuff shes doing with helping those with AIDS right now is great too, with the song 'Sing' if you buy it on itunes money goes to charity. The song 'Dark Road' from the latest album about her divorce is beautiful too, shes got a voice that brings out the emotion in her lyrics in a strong way. Can you tell I'm a fan...? lol

her mind was out there like Prince's .. i can see these 2 on the same page... if she came along and said neon orange is really a high lighted pink.. i could see Prince agreeing with her and saying he understands .. nod
