Kennedy Center Honors

This comes on Dec 26. It is one of the highest awards that an artist can receive. It is attended by several big shots like the president. Prince will one day be given this award, but I have a feeling that something different will happen. The artist selected for this award usually has other people to sing their songs. I have a feeling that Prince will either sing his own songs or not have anyone to sing at all on his behalf. One question I want to throw out: Who will receive the award first Prince or MJ.
Prince believes he is a musical prophet that has been chosen by Jehova to guide his fans to the "truth".

Actually, after being voted #2 on that one Top Ten guitarist list &
having Another Lonely Christmas ranked #8 on that one All-Time Christmas Bummers list,
can the KCH be all that far away?
Prince is on a roll.

Oh, I do so hope it happens. beg
It would at long last legitimize those of us who have taken up the title of "orgers".
In the eyes of the rest of the world, we would all finally be considered bonafide!
woot!

easily prince, even with his latest PR issues.his catologue is more diverse, he's meant more artistically (not commercially) and he is better to program from an artistic standpoint.micheal broke down a lot of boundries, sold crazy records and performed at a historic level but he didnt break any ground artistically. prince didnt have a legendary producer and a lot of his best work consisted of him doing everything and that will probably never be done again for an artist who wins commercial as well as critical acclaim.

You forgot to add that Prince has more respect from his peers in the music industry than Michael Jackson. It will happen, when I don't know but it will happen. What about the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grammys.....when is that comming? It certainly is due.

I know Prince is almost 50, but can you guys at least wait until he's 60, before you suggest he get a lifetime achievement? lol All of the people honored at The Kennedy Center are at least 60 from what I"ve seen..... wink
