Thats the only reason I purchased the movie. Just so I could hear the Prince songs.

I bought it expecting that there would be a Prince video. But when I didn't find what I expected, I decided to keep it anyway. I loooove those pinguins!

I saw it in a movie theatre last Thanksgiving and hated it. I would never buy or rent it -- or even recommend it.

I took my 13-year-old niece and 6-year-old nephew. The 6-year-old was so bored he fell asleep and the 13-year-old and I sat there rolling our eyes at each other over the ham-handed political crap in it.

It was cute (if boring) as long as they were singing and dancing, but grew tiresome very quickly once the environmental propoganda kicked in.

There are tons of animated films that are better. Classics like Pinocchio, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, and newish ones like The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo and The Incredibles. Any of these are better than Happy Feet, IMO.

I agree. I did not like the movie at all. I do not watch animated films or children's movies (I don't like them) but I went to this with another Prince fan, even though I didn't like Song of the Heart or the idea of Nicole Kidman covering Kiss.

I hated the ending--too preachy, even though I do think global warming is a real issue. Also, there were some parts in the film that I thought would be kind of scary for kids (like when that seal is chasing Mumbles). And they ruined that Stevie song (forgot the title, maybe I Wish?) for me with their horrible cover. I can't listen to the original anymore because I always think of that damn movie. mad

you are gonna sit there and applause a cheese song like "song of my heart" and then slam a cover of kiss that is intended to be tongue n cheek and part of a cartoon?

nod i like song of the heart. just cause it's cheesy don't mean it's bad. i never seen the movie, like i said and only listened to the cover once or twice so i don't know. just think it's corny and only prince can be corny and get away with it. lol

Song of the Heart is one of the most throw away songs he's ever written.
It doesn't even stand out among other songs featured in the movie.

Sorry dude. The song fits the movie and I wish P would do more soundtracks. Enjoyed the movie and the song.

agreed...within the context of the film the song works....which is why i am confused why folks diss Kiss since it too works within the film.
