Prince shunned it back in the day, then (shock!) chaned his mind later on in his career. Alexa De Paris is probably more fusion than jazz, but it is still a good contender. |

to me, it doesn't matter. his best guitar solo in any genre is the one from "Just My Imagination" on Small Club.
i still continue to be so blown away by that that i can't even wrap my head around any other solo unless it's playing in my ears at that particular moment. | |

When Doves Cry Rock Lets Go Crazy Funk Prince: "If u can describe it, then it ain't funky." Soul/R&B this one got me thinking, so I listened to Soft n Wet, and ... there was only a keyboard solo, so i listened to Another Lonely Christmas, and I wouldn't say it was the best, but there's some funky guitar coming up at the end of the song there Blues Question of U - I agree with you there, also his version of Purple House Jazz Not sure of this one...I like the solo in Strollin', but I'm not sure if that was Prince or Levi playing, and again - I can't say the best
