I've been a member of prince.org for over 8 years now and this site has gone through a lot of changes. From the black and purple days, to the big makeover in 2002 and 2004, this site has always been a cool place to go to for all things Prince. I love coming to a site or in this case a section in the site, where I can come and discuss all things Prince,. Whether it's informative or silly, praising the music or critiqing it, this is the place where a fan can be a fan and a fam can be a fam. Whatever you label yourself as, we are all here for the same reason: cause we dig Prince and/or his music.

A lot has happened in the last month and regardless or what may or may not happen in the future, I'm grateful to have the section up and running for us fans NOW. I want to give props to all of the Prince fans. There is nothing like watching a new fan learn about all the Prince music they've never heard or seeing an old fan go to a Prince concert and rediscover why they were fans in the first place. The site wouldn't exists if it wasn't for us fans & for me personally, it's been a pleasure talking to and meeting people from the org and from this section and I hope to meet & talk to more of you in the future. And as long as Prince keeps making music, hopefully this section will be around for all of us to hang out. And I want to say Thank You to all the moderators who keep this section and this site going. Without you guys and gals, God knows where this section would be.

I do so enjoy the dialogue, good or bad, humorous or serious, it is very informative or entertaining. I just watched the Purple Dove Interviews which was very nice and I heard about it first right here on the org....

I'd like to add my as well.
I've been hard on this place and the people in it making it more difficult to enjoy myself here.

But I have no regrets about finding this place and spending so much time here. This place is very valuable to all of us and I believe its the best asset any newbie could ever have.

I found this place by googling "Prince"... I wanted to learn about him from the people who know him best and have known him longer. Prince/his music= him.
It's helped steer me in the right direction, show me which albums I should get (and talked me into a couple that I grew to LOVE).

I'm not sure if "thinktank" is the right word for this place, but there's a plethora of knowledge about Prince here. I've learned so much about him and his career from all the people here. By listening to them, their knowledge becomes my knowledge and I use that for more "album interpretation" or simply, getting to know more about the enigma that is Prince.

And this place has the best conditions to "grow and flourish" as a supporter of Prince. It's free of the predjuices and stereotyping that follows him around in the real world. By coming here, I let to see beyond those stereotypes and see Prince for who he is or as well as his music will allow me to me.
I don't see him as strange, weird or as a freak by coming here... I see him as a musical genius and an incredible person.

You guys helped mold me and I like the kind of supporter of Prince that I am. I owe this place so much for that.

There are times that I dislike what people say about Prince and the music and I may wish that they could leave but I also realize that that's the beauty of the org. They should be able to come here and vent. Just as long as they aren't trying to convince me that their way is the way and vice versa, then we're cool. But it's nothing but love here.

i think its great that a website that allows folks like sexxydancer *and* bart to share their unfiltered opinions can exist. i know some can feel frustrated about the freedom of expression here but when sentiments like this are expressed it reinforces the fact that we are doing things right...and trust, it's not easy...and we don't always get things right...but we all try...ben, the mods and my fellow orgers...

That's a really nice post. I've only been on here for a few months, but I love it ! Yes, it sometimes gets frustrating when you read opinions so different from your own, but it also stretches us all to hear opposite points of view and thoughts. It's great that people from all over the world can 'chat' together and mostly really get along and have fun! I'd feel lost without the prince.org now, and it's great to know other people feel the same way I do - not completely CRAZY Thanks to all involved!

Although, when i saw the posts at other forums, i got abit turned off, but once i got switched on, well, what a place. Especially the GD forum, something I could not understand a few months ago, but now i love it.
