Prince charts on Itunes. Prince charts at 84 in UK and 80 in oz.

I really don't know, only time will tell. 
But for a flipant, spur of the moment release and backed by probably the worst publicity of his career, i would call it a success as it stands. [Edited 11/26/07 5:14am] | |

Oh well, just found out that Mariah's annual re-entry this year for All I Want For Christmas Is You started this week at #46 with just 3000 copies (but it's rising gradually), so F.U.N.K can't have done that much. | |

What's going on here? Why all the nastiness? Prince is detested????? Who by?!!
Considering there has been no marketing for this song WHATSOEVER (as far as I'm aware) apart from on 3121 and the Fansites - I think it's done a pretty good job so far - only one week. Also, you can hardly even find it on itunes in the UK unless you are specifically looking. I think the reviews (in the UK) say it all never mind the sales.... quality music....  I'm glad I've got that out of my system!
Some people seem to be pretty easily swayed by others opinions on here at times - stick to your guns if you believe in him and like the song

does chart positon matter? he's number one at the bank remember that.. 
and no matter how funky the song is, it goes 2 show it's about the dollar 4 the asshole. y make a free track 4 one week available on another website when he has his own that could have sold it if he wanted 2? next he'll sue itunes 4 having his picture on it and then he'll sue apple computers 4 dare inventing the site man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81 | |

All Prince wants is that you ask his permission before posting photos of his image and to remove the sub-forums. (IMO)
I think that would be a good compromise. Detest was too strong a word, unpopular would have been a better choice of words. | |
