Splash - is 3121 sanctioned by P?

Here's the "post" by 3121 about one of the Jams of the week: "The current Jam Of The Week is “Splash”. The sound greatly improved upon, Prince re-mixed this jam 4 inclusion among the numerous NPG Music Club releases and now xclusively here on 3121. Longtime orchestral collaborator Clare Fischer did the string arrangements. Guitar and vocal arrangements were done by Wendy and Lisa. This Prince composition was one of the 1st songs Prince allowed the women 2 work on without his iron hand present. Susannah is also a featured vocalist on this gem. It’s fun 2 try and pick out who’s singing which note 4 those who can tell"[b]

Surely Prince wouldn't want himself characterized as an "iron hand" ??? Surprised to see even this small criticism of P on a site that seems more like Fox news for republicans than an actual Prince news site.

I suspect it is a tongue in cheek comment -- made in light of recent events.
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Iron hand is okay.

Don't make fun!

My uncle had plastic leg but i think iron leg would be better.

I don't know, that was the whole theme of band relations in Purple Rain, right? I'm sure Prince know's he's a bit of a control freak, at least when it comes to music.

Hmmm, don't the liner notes (or that big book!) for the One Night Alone Live box set have a relatively negative review in them?

It could be something of an in joke as well.
So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young?

It is whisperd that an iron hand is the form which his strap-on takes on when he uses it.
The power-chord attached to it lends to the rumour that it was also the inspiration behind Electric Intercourse.
Now, mind you, I'm not saying that this is true or anything.

Me, I'm of the opinion that its none of my business.
So I'll just stop this post right here.

Does anyone know what happen to Splash? After that raving review I was looking forward to the song and then EWYH started playing. Though it's funky, Splash is one of my favorite outtakes.

could be in response to what the girls have said about him themselves as well
i found the comment refreshing and promising
and it was nice to see credit given to specific "revolution" members
hopefully this continues
our gifts and talents are a combination of many factors
give credit where credit is due
