This mix suddenly reminds me of the "Ethereal Mix" of Cream from D&P - makes me wonder if he recorded Cream around this time (late '88).

Holla He knows people have their ways of DL-ing them.....I plead the 5th as to how I know this, but he knows that we (fans, etc) have ways of getting them on our hard drive.... Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

It is too bad ?rince isn't making songs like that now. Anytime you put a regard for religion...(censoring words for religion beliefs is heresy.) It messes with the artistic integrity of the piece. Is it when you get older you find religion as an excuse for not being able to do things like you did when you were young?
Hmmm? I may not like the man.
I may not like his music after the mid 90s. I respect his current artistry...I just don't like him. No hate.

The fact that he edited his own work because it contained a "curse word," is utterly pathetic and cowardly. What's the point of even releasing it without the first part and then editing what he did release? The latter of course can be answered with the simple reply of "He's a religious nutter now," and I suppose the former question is nullified because if he's so dense as to edit his old work then there's not really a point in releasing it at all, is there?
While the drones continue to buzz over any droppings offered, this practice of editing past work is arresting because it illustrates how uncomfortable Prince is with the only studio work he did that truly mattered and leads one to believe that if he ever does commerically release his past work, it will come with the same obtrusive backmasking blips, rendering the piece as a whole, obsolete and laughable. Make no mistake, the prime reason Prince hasn't released his WB material is because he doesn't want to re-release what he ignorantly considers offensive material. This was the reason Erotic City wasnt on Ultimate and is the reason that, along with his online video debacles, the dust is beginning to collect on his self-assumed legacy. [Edited 11/26/07 22:12pm] No hard feelings.

I'm unfamiliar with the song in it's original form, but I can tell he edited it. Pretty fucking stupid.....art isn't safe, Prince.
You don't see museum's covering the penis on Michelangelo's David....You don't see them covering breasts on ancient Greek and Roman statues. Why, because art is self-expression, and that's what people felt when they made them. Censorship is shitty, but what's even worse is when artists censor themselves. Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

Yes, because the curse words (which only appear on the 12inch) really make the song. Dude has grown up and has decided he does not want to curse or endorse it. Respect his choice.

P.S.: I when he says "Say ello 2 my lil' friend - the blue angel! (Oh my God, a guitar!)". It's obviously a reference 2 Scarface! [Edited 11/24/07 23:02pm] These songs are worthless since they're edited for swear words. It is not the "original" artists intention. I bet "Jehovah" is pleased though. (laugh)

QuietSeven said: The structure of truth. Prince found the sounds within him given by GOD above for him to manifest to the world...(creative divine inspiration) - WE ALL HAVE in our own individual talents. Prince then manifested it (whether hiring) musicians and/or playing the instruments himself Prince recorded and mastered the projects for which he thought out. Prince made agreement with companies to sell HIS projects aka music and/or sold them thru his enterprises! End result... WE buy his music from him... So with that being said, Yes, Prince sells it direct, since he is the one doing it...and manifesting where it will be sold. So as previously said, "I would like to buy I Wish U Heaven from Prince and his company for whom he chooses to have it for purchase... Thank you. Quiet Seven PS: Hope that clears up... my first initiation in the question of purchasing from him aka his company. [Edited 12/1/07 2:37am]
