Coïtus Interruptus

With Prince coming near every 3 or 4 years I always feel very nervous going to a concert. With a huge reluctance I get into the car and during the 2 to 3 hours drive I just keep on being nervous.
Constantly thinking “why did I buy tickets, I’m so immature. I will be very disappointed. I liked him when I was young, I’m a grown up now”.

In the huge warm and damp arena I just sit there looking around, being tired, finding it really crowded in there.

And then, the lights go out, people start to scream.
Nothing happens and then...

The music starts pounding and I see his silhouet on stage, I hear his voice again since 3 years and I feel something warm coming up. From my toes quickly towards my head.

And with every minute that passes, it tingles, it makes my heart blow up.
I feel..... in love again.... full of energy, trying not to miss a thing.
And I keep thinking how on earth is this possible? It’s like a virus, hidden in every pore and cell of my body, unable to leave.

Having my life, my family, my work, everything and not being busy with Prince through the year(s), being at his shows makes me forget everything with the blink of an eye. I’m in love, pure extacy.

I just stare (my binoculars is my friend) and dance, stare and dance and all I can think of is wanting to be all alone in this arena, having a private show just for me, enjoying this man who gives me life for 2 hours.

And when the lights go on and he leaves....
Coïtus Interruptus.

You know what I mean?

It sure is a nevermind kinda thing if you don't get it wink .

It's officially a guy thing. Don't translate it according the dictionary.

I meant it like having REALLY good sex and when you're totally in it, reaching a climax, it gets interrupted.

That's how I feel after a concert each and every time.

As Kylie got it years ago: Prince is sex on a stick.

I stand 200% behind my siggy. It's such a great line.

Like you siggy too! Don't be afraid to show that you support P. although some people react allergic to your posts.
I think we have to cherish the little special things we have left in this world.

I liked my siggy too... unfortunately though I took it down because it is not what I am about... I just wanted to piss off the so called "fans who hate fams".

I love Prince and enjoy his music but he really does not rule my life.

His male fans will never comprehend what we females see in Prince.

To Female Prince fans Prince is MUSIC + SEX to his male fans he is only MUSIC

LOL!

Just humans. Ignorance makes people wear blinders. And I think that has to do with social intelligence, some sort of moral sence. If your parents have brought you up respecting other peoples feelings and opinions you probably do too.
These people didn't have a decent upbringing as I stated before. And it has got nothing to do with money, rich people can be brought up like assholes too.

giggle are we having our own private resistance party here? No one will know because of my topic title.

Damn, seems no one understood what I was trying to make clear with this thread. Can't imagine that no one has felt that way when seeing Prince leave after a super show pout

I somehow wonder if that could have changed a lot of their posts. I feel unhappy people spread hate more than happy people.
The PMM forum was so happy before this controversy, people just came here to share their love for Prince.
Are you going to see Prince in Paris? I was planning a trip overseas in Jan and I might just do a stop over in Paris... excited God I love that city especially the suburbs! I also love Barcelona !

Lemme get this straight....
seeing prince in concert is like when a parent or foster-home guardian walks in on you whilst masturbatin' to a niegbor's adult magazine that accidently ended up in your mail-box?

If so,
I hate it when that happens.

Well, then you're not smart enough. Lock yourself up in the toilet put on some Shyhooks "Smut" and throw the sticky magazine afterwards back at your neighbour's house. No one will know.

Yes, negativity spreads better than positivity, sadly.

IF Prince is coming to Paris I will go. Too bad it's not on a Friday or a Saturday so I have to take some days off again (I already have 2 weeks off because of Christmas schoolholiday sigh ).
I love Paris also. It's such a romantic city, it breaths life. I really like big cultural cities (except for London but I probably missed several parts there).

And speaking of Barcelona, my mother's from Barcelona so I just love it there, Sephora, El CorteIngles, Zara, Mango, oops I like the city too!

But I like Paris more. Bois de Boulogne, the Opera, oh the Opera, the rooms behind the balcony were definitely made for making love, the red plush invites you to come... cool .
Roland Garros, Parc Monceau, Galery Lafayette hmmmmm, the fashion department with all the expensive crap, the doll department. Too much to name. But I prefer to go around September/October, it's too cold and grey there in the winter.

But I hope P. will come at Bercy. I think it was around 1995 my husband and I went to Paris, Bercy to see Prince there and buy tickets at the black market. I loved to see the Pyramid of Bercy but sadly there was no Prince concert, only Rod Stewart. We didn't have internet until 1996 so I obviously didn't know the exact tour dates. Oh well, I did have a great weekend though.

Do you come to Europe often?

No, I wouldn't say oftern. I have been once at least every two years.

I love to travel, my husband doesn't. So I usually go by myself or with my daughter. Funny how you can influence your kids so easily. This whole Parisian thing started with my mother who loved Paris and french (language). biggrin

Alain Delon !! Just love his movies...!
