Fake 1996 album?

Anyone remember this? This tracklisting appeared around the same time as the traklisting for The Vault, which turned out to be accurate, so who knows...

> NEWPOWERSOUL, the German and Dutch Newsmagazine, got a message about a
new album by
prince. The information was given to Markus B. [the Telekom Slave] who
simply called Paisley Park
and asked about any future plans. He was given a tracklist of a new
album that was ready to be
delivered. Looking at the tracklist it COULD be The Vault album.. The
first 14 are supposed to be on
the album. The last 4 are planned as B-sides. The album is ready. The
B-sides are in the final mix.
01. Laurianne
02. Pain
03. 2 Fast 4 love
04. Spiritual World
05. Heaven is near my friend
06. People without
07. Poor Goo
08. Trouble in paradise
09. The yellow cloud I love
10. Move me
11. Feel good
12. Love your enemy
13. Rave church style
14. Something funky this house comes

A. Strange thing happen in Puerto Rico
B. Love or hate me
C. She's so hot
D. Revenge of the Fabulous

Of course, I doubt he would plan 4 b-sides! LOL - we don't even get singles now...

Fake tracklisting used to be quite popular on this site.
This one looks & smells fake.
Seen much better fake lists than this one.

At one point, wasn't 'The Vault' album supposed to be a multi-disc set? Like,Volumes 1,2,and 3? I remember hearing that Prince submitted three volumes to Warner Bros. to fulfill his contract, but they weren't satisfied with this deal.Perhaps this tracklist could be one of the rejected "Vault" albums?

I know that at least 9 of those titles are genuine...

***"Laurianne"---this song really exists
***"Pain"---this song was given to Chaka Khan for the "Living Single" soundtrack. It was co-written by Rosie Gaines.
***"Spiritual World"---supposedly,this song was mentioned in one of the early drafts of the "Graffiti Bridge" movie script.
***"People Without"---this 1987 song really exists,Cat mentioned it in an interview.
***"Poor Goo"---from The Undertaker project (1993)
***"Feel Good"---this is probably the 1995 'Emancipation' outtake.
***"Rave Church Style"---this song was mentioned on an early tracklist of the 'Love Symbol' album.
***"Something Funky This House Comes"---a Tony M.-led number that really exists.
***"She's So Hot"---another song title that was mentioned on an early trcklist of the 'Love Symbol' album.

Btw,does anyone have any details about a 1994 (95?) song called "Good Dick And A Job"?? Does it really exist?

"Strange Things Happen In Puerto Rico"

There were quite a few mentions of this song in the 95-96
era. I recall reading someone's extensive description of
it after allegedly hearing the song at Paisley Park.

It was also included on several 'outtake' lists on the web.

I've never heard it myself and it seems a bit strange that
there would be a 95 outtake that has been leaked but not
yet spread.

My guess, if this song really exists, is that it's from '93 or '94 - Prince has said that it was in Puerto Rico that he had visions that led to him changing his name (if this song is fake, this is undoubtedly where the title came from). I think the song would deal with his name change, then.

In the 1994 Q interview, he was asked about something from before the name change - he responded 'That was before Puerto Rico. I don't remember much from before Puerto Rico'. My friends and I used that line for years to cover up any wrong-doings... That was fun.

Some of it was improvised (he included a very warped version of Madhouse's Six at one point in that version) - he played it at other aftershows in late 88 too, and it's likely there was a studio version as well. If this was a real vault album, I would guess this and Poor Goo would be studio versions rather than what what is circulating.
