Call me a old head.... I wish i was old enough to witness this FOR REAL....
i got one of my moms old cassette tapes, recorded some prince bootleg songs on them, over and over again to totally screw up the quality to make to sound muffled.... The old bootlegs sound better and more mysterious that way { BIG TALL WALL!? COME ON! its almost a damn EXPERIENCE ) i can only imagine the older people here who experienced hand-me-down cassette tapes with horrible quality for the first time. So muffled and funky, plus the excitment of listening to something you weren't ment to hear. Had to be cool as hell.... I plan on doing this with other songs as well, It just makes it seem so cool to go back to a time where this was all that you had Getting "mysterious" tapes from mysterious sources

You young people are so cute, I remember when cassettes were the "New thing" because I had Prince's albums. Now that was something!

tapes are shit.....that muffled sound was always poor.....only reaon anyone put up with it because of the music.....
If you really want some nostalgia then vinyl is the way to go.....certain songs actually sound better on vinyl, its gives them a warmth that the rematsered versions dont have..... Listen to any stevie or marvin on vinyl and you'll know what i mean Baby Eye Jus Can't Stand 2 C U Happy
