I saw Prince live for the first time! The Lovesexy tour, the gold standard for all Prince performances, imo. Sheila was incredible, naturally, as were the rest of the band. I didn't want the night to end.

I still have my ticket.

Just wanted to share that.

Actually, I seem to remember Prince did two nights here in Detroit on that tour. I went to both shows--the second night, there were LOTS of empty seats--Prince only did an encore the first night. Detroit wasn't really feelin' that album.

Well there is a person who has posted on here who went to every single European Lovesexy show and said Dortmund was the worst so that mutha deserves one of these too because I want their life.

Having seen the SOTT tour the year before, I didn't think P could top it, but then, Lovesexy arrived! I don't think I've ever seen Prince enjoy a tour so much.

I was lucky enough to see it from the front row of 4 occasions (the "Good" side of the round stage!). I'll never forget it when Prince came and sat on the front of the stage (no camera pit!) right in front of me and cut my hand with a flying broken guitar string while he performed "If I had a harem/When you were mine".
