Hi thought it would be interesting to see what everyones favourite prince songs are. I know its so hard to chose, nearly impossible!!but mineinclue: never take the place of your man, joy and repertition, if i was your girlfriend, holy river,rock therefore i am, poplife... these are just to name a few!!!

Like you mentioned, this is almost impossible to answer.

If I had to pick one it would be "If I Was Your Girlfriend."

Ask me next week, I'll have a different answer.

Yeah, this is a toughie but if I must choose one it would be "Beautiful Ones".
The song is simply beautiful...the melodies and the lyrics...love this song...

its hard to choose, and it feels like it changes when i listen to a different song, but id have to choose

lol, but yeah, such a catchy little number with a lovely vibe.

Easy, When doves cry. It reminds me of my family, not in the extreme way that is portrayed in the song or movie it goes to. But, yeah, alot of...things go down in my household. I think the song is just so touching. I can really relate to it.
Plus, i ain't ever heard a song like that b4. It sounds so...cool?

I stopped thinking in terms of "favorite" a long time ago because there are just too many and it changes depending on mood and circumstance--but "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad," "When You Were Mine," and "New Power Generation" always remain near or at the top.

so hard to choose just one if you know Prince's work but one song that for whatever reason sticks out to me from when I was younger(maybe the first Prince song that caught me) that I could call my all time favourite - I Wanna Be Your Lover.

everytime i think of a fave, i change my mind. it's impossible!
If pushed, i would go for the live version of 'Forever In My Life' on Sign of the Times. The passion he sings it with is amazing

"Still Waiting" and "Just as long as were together" are close to my heart.

Reason #2 It just has it all. It rocks with the best of them, yet has the poignancy of a great ballad.

I could never pick just one favorite, but Purple rain will always hold a special place in my heart.

And the 'whys' are more difficult too.

I generally have better energy when I listen to Prince music, and I end up feeling real sexy. I do not know why that happens but I always have.

This is the toughest question to answer, favourtie album yes, favourite show yes, but favourite song is near enough impossible just because of the sheer amount of material that P has created.

Its easier to pick a favourite song from each album;

Prince - I Feel For You
Dirty Mind - Got A Broken Heart Again
Sign O The Times - Adore

....but even these change week in week out

One thing i will say though is that this morning i heard Tick Tick Bang for the first time.....WOW is all i have to say.....WOW
