I agree. Five years from now, the album will be talked about amongst Prince fans as often as Musicology isn't. evillol

I actually like PE, but there's no reason to rerelease it. Regardless, prince is most likely on to the next project anyway.

I think Planet Earth was an ok release, nothing spectacular but ok. As far as rereleasing it though, this would be a bit of a pointless task. Most people in Britain and Ireland probably got their copy for free so they are not going to fork out and buy it again. Gathering from the opinion of fans worldwide it appears to be mixed.

I think it would be good saving PFUnk up for the next release rather than rereleasing PE

For you, yeah you might not go that far but for me, I did cuz it's a great record. cool

I enjoy it a lot! As well as 3121 and Musicology.

If you ever give Planet Earth another chance, listen to it close...listen to the breakdown of instruments and arrangements...listen to the layers. DAMN good! smile

That's what makes PRINCE BRILLIANT and still far ahead of what is on radio today.

Enjoys your day.

I think Planet earth is a Good Album, 3-4 stars out of 5.

I will just add FUNK as a B-side/Bonus Track on my IPOD for the album.

It is a good addition to a good album.

Maybe Prince is getting the next album for next year.

I agree with u about Musicology and 3121. I think those are great albums (for recent times). I just can't stand PE. It's not that I dislike the songs so much, it's just I don't think the album stands up on its own.

Nope. Prince don't usally go back on old project. Plus there is no financial gain by doing that. Don't see any point.

I really doubt that this track is going to catch on with the public enough to justify a new pressing of the album. And how IS it going to catch on with the public? You have to already know it exists and then seek it out to find it in the first place.

How about releasing The One U Wanna C as a single with a decent video?

How about some promotion here in the US?

How about not disappearing the moment an album is released?

F.U.N.K. is far better than anything on PE. Re-issuing PE with the addition of F.U.N.K. would only accentuate this fact, and make it glaringly obvious how comparatively weak PE actually is.

Don't get me wrong, I think there are some good things on Planet Earth. I just happen to think FUNK is the strongest track he's released this decade.

I agree FUNK doesn't belong on PE, but neither do Future Baby Mama or Mr. Goodnight.
