I would have loved to see P continue in this direction, such an awesome song. He kinda tried to do it again with Lovesign, but this is where it's at. New Jack Swing-ish mixed with Prince's trademark funk,

Pope is iight. But I feel that Pope and Lovesign are in to different categories.

i love the song, it was once my fav prince song!!!!

My only complaint with Pope is that being mixed in with The Hits it makes all the old 80s songs sound severely dated and contrasts sharply with that thin, plastic 80s sound production.

Great song!! What A JAM!!! I loved all 3 songs that were on the Hits collection. Pope, Pink Cashmre, and Peach...what an vast amount of style, funk, rock and soul.
