The Story of Camille [PFUnk Response Track] In response to Prince's new track "PFUnk", I came up with this funky, odd little response song. I simply took some of the official "Camille story" from the Lovesexy tourbook (correct me if I'm wrong as to where the story came from... am only 19 so wasn't around the the era) and turned it into a spoken word/rappish type jam. It's worth a listen, I think, and who knows, maybe the man himself will give it a spin 
My position on the subject is simple... Camille originated in bad times for Prince and was one of his many alter egos he used to let out the bad/dirty/angry side of him at times. It's interesting to note that the new song has a Camille effect on his voice... perhaps an indication that he is once again going through bad times, or simply whippin out Cam' for some well needed sass. I think P has every right to do what he's doing, I mean it IS his image afterall... I'm with the brotha through thick and thin, so don't think of this as a "diss" to him.. more of a reminder that if he's resorting to Camille, thing may not be too great in the purple world...
