Well... the new song is practically the same but it's a new mix/recording. Seems subtly different to me.

Apparently, it's going to be on iTunes on Tuesday. For free, one assumes. I haven't listened to it yet, but it's still got the old pfunk file name.
Oh, and I'm not sure I like the whole "mic like a gun" pose on 3121.com. Very old hat. And not v threatening in canary yellow. Veni, Vidi, Funki.

And I thought the color he was wearing was orange!?!?! Good point. Head gear was never my thing (although I meant "old hat" as in "seen it all before (circa 92)" as opposed to "my, that's a rather antiquated piece of hair flattener"). I've had another look. You're right. It's not canary yellow. It's a kind of dodgy melon/peach hue. Or the colours on my mac need adjusting.... Veni, Vidi, Funki.

That's a "doo rag" something you find most brothas within the African-American community wearing. Started from way back in the 50's and continued over the years, (a lot of Doo-wop and Acapella groups used to wear them). The style sort of took on a slightly different form today, with some brothas wearing it under their hats.Denzel wore one in "Malcolm X" with a red suit on. [Edited 11/18/07 15:49pm] But the type he is wearing (the black silk tie wrao) is very common within the black community. today, among Black men and women, because many Black women who do the "wrap" hair styles, may use that scarf or a silk scarf, instead of using rollers, to keep non-curl hairdos in place. The men, (doo wop/acapella groups) used to wear them a lot, when black males were into the waves. You will find those doo rags in many beauty supply stores that sell many black hair products, as well as, Asian stores that's known to sell many black hair products. Actually, I was surprised that they still have the name "doo rag" or "doo wrap" on the packages. I remember some of my uncles wearing one. Black, Hispanic and White women wore them back in the day; (early to 50s - mid 60s), especially the bright-colorful ones to wrap around those big rollers, and those were considered scarfs, and they wore the thick, black and brown hairnets as well.
