If his actions were just aimed at bootleggers, I'd agree but they aren't so I don't!

I can and will stay mad at him for as long as it takes! He's not a hero, he's a musician!

Heros are people that will put their lives on the line to save yours!

Our military people are HEROS!

Our police officers are HEROS!

Our firefighters are HEROS!

Prince is a spoiled ass bratty musician who thinks of no one but himself, it's been proven by his actions, time and time again!

Well he's obviously not a hero in the same way you would think of folks like firefighters and the military. But he's my personal hero. He's gotten me through a lot in my life and has given me a lot of hope. He's also inspired me as a black musician that does whatever he wants to do. So in that sense he's pretty heroic.

And I don't believe Prince is that selfish and disrespectful to his fans. I've seen worse. Look at Axl Rose. lol

But the point is I can't completely write Prince off because of this bump in the road. That would be like wanting to forget the impact the man has had on me. If you feel that Prince broke the camel's back with this whole situation and hate him for it, then that's your problem. That just means Prince probably wasn't that important to you to begin with.

falloff What is it with you people? Yes! I'm very upset about this whole situation. That's no secret but where are you getting that I hate Prince? Have I ever said that I hate Prince? No, I haven't!

I think he's musical genius but he's not my hero. However, he was important enough to me for me to spend the last 29 years of my life, supporting, encouraging, and enjoying his talent. Something I feel he doesn't respect or appreciate, hence the reason I'm upset but damn, do you hate everyone you've ever been upset with? I certainly hope not!

Yes, I do feel that he did break the camel's back with this whole situation and I may very well never spend another dime on him or listen to anything he makes from this day forward but that still doesn't mean that I hate him.

If you can't just write him off that's good for you but I can because as much as I love him, I love my self respect, rights and freedoms more and if he can't appreciate and respect that then he just really isn't going to be that important to me! shrug

I'm not mad at him...never was. He will do what his conscience dictates and so must I...for now, the jury is still out.

If it turns out that he wants to do more than protect his intellectual property beyond what the law allows through fair use and freedom of speech, then it's a deal breaker for me. At that point it's about a lot more than entertainment. It opens the door to more censorship of media and information.

So if we end up being on different sides of the issue then so be it. We can part ways with no hard feelings on my part. I had the time of my life with Prince on many occasions and will always have good memories of him.

You won't see any panic or weeping or knashing of teeth over here. lol
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.
