Combining 90's and 00's Prince albums to create great albums? Alltough the individual Prince albums in the nineties and this millenium never reached the quality of those from the eighties (at least, IMO that is), i think when you combine the best tracks from several albums from this period, you can create albums with it that are more on par with his eighties output.
Of course this is all theoretically, but i think combining the best tracks from the following albums would have create a few great Prince albums. '87 - '88: The Black album + Lovesexy (going from evil to good) '89 - '90: Batman + Graffiti Bridge (not including the songs of side-artists) '91 - '92: Diamonds and Pearls + Symbol '93 - '95: The Gold Experience (with a rawer production) + Come + Chaos and Disorder '96 - '99: Emancipation + New Power Soul + Rave (a long single CD) '00 - '03: sorry i really dont appreciate this period, no great album here '04 - '07: Musicology - 3121 - Planet Earth (a solid, strong mainstream album) What do you think?

In commercial terms, Prince should definately combined these periods and slowed his output.
But for me, I'm a sucker for quantity! I want me as much Prince as possible. I'll self edit CD's for the car! .
