i think Prince Fans and Fams should understand that the Legal Action occuring at present, is not a personal attack on Fans/Fams. Come ON!!!! All Prince is doing is Protecting himself against people who are using him. i am in FULL SUPPORT of what Prince is doing. [Edited 11/16/07 15:39pm] I'm shocked he's not big enough to know that as a celebrity who's lived his entire career off of the support of his fan/fams, that threatening to sue the sites where they choose to congregate and share their love for him, was a moronic idea and would most certainly be viewed as a personal attack on them!! | |

That being said... I still have opinions concerning the gray areas as there is no clear cut answer to satisfy both sides of the debate with out them coming to some resolution on thier own or in a court of law. Therfore any opinion I stress thru written word or song... is strictly in itself a right I have un-questionable. Also if there was no issue of personal attack vs. his fan base... then there would have been no cease and desist notices sent to his 'fan based' web sites in the first place stating the removal of images, demands concerning content in general and asking for financial damages...? If that isn't attacking your fan base at the core... then I don't know what is. But I degress... if you support Prince in his or his representatives current actions... then you must also support my right of free speach and expression. Just because I do not suport his stand does not mean I am any less a fan nor does it mean tht my character isn't big enough because I don't heard like cattle very easy and just take what anyone dishes out with out question. Unless a person is just spewing hate for the sake of hate which is a sign of small character in the first place... which I am not... then I and those like myself are even a 'bigger' people in fact for standing up for what we beleive in... instead of submitting our opinions and wills to a 'man' because of some archaic sense of idol worship. I luv Prince and have done so for more than 25 years... non-stop... but every morning he wakes up... he is just a man... as am I. And as a man... he is not with out fault and can be wrong. I suport his cause in going after the organizations which make a profit at his and other artist's expense... but I don't support his actions vs.the fans sites whose members are a large source of the profits he has made over the past three decades. I'm typically not one to criticize... but when you mention your own problems with peeps taking advantage of you... you sound as if you are mearly projecting your issues onto Prince. And more to the point.... none of what you said has anything to do with his fans. Whaaa..? Is he's trying to protect himself against us...??? I am 39... divorced only once after 15 years of marriage... and people have taken advantage of me as well. But ya know wht... that has nothing to do qwith this situation what so ever. I can only imagine the issues Prince has... but the ones with his own fans.. he creates himself. You will never hear or read of me making a hateful coment towards him ever.... but just becuase i have luv for person does not exclude them for being wrong or going about certain matters in the wrong way. So in your view, because Prince is "a genius, popular, gorgeous and loving" he is above the law? My goodness...Prince is human like you and me and has flaws - HE MAKES MISTAKES!! Just between me and you: I've given up to argue with Regina. She has created this perfect image of Prince that has nothing to do with the person Prince. It's beyond me, that she assumes that Prince is a 'kind' 'loving','understanding' person, when she doesn't know him personally. But if it makes her feel better, to believe that Prince is the perfect man, no matter what he does, so be it!!

[Edited 11/16/07 15:39pm] Actually if you checked my Myspace blog or a post I made at Housequake.com... you'ld see that I understand the legal issues about the whole situation more than most. That being said... I still have opinions concerning the gray areas as there is no clear cut answer to satisfy both sides of the debate with out them coming to some resolution on thier own or in a court of law. Therfore any opinion I stress thru written word or song... is strictly in itself a right I have un-questionable. Also if there was no issue of personal attack vs. his fan base... then there would have been no cease and desist notices sent to his 'fan based' web sites in the first place stating the removal of images, demands concerning content in general and asking for financial damages...? If that isn't attacking your fan base at the core... then I don't know what is. But I degress... if you support Prince in his or his representatives current actions... then you must also support my right of free speach and expression. Just because I do not suport his stand does not mean I am any less a fan nor does it mean tht my character isn't big enough because I don't heard like cattle very easy and just take what anyone dishes out with out question. Unless a person is just spewing hate for the sake of hate which is a sign of small character in the first place... which I am not... then I and those like myself are even a 'bigger' people in fact for standing up for what we beleive in... instead of submitting our opinions and wills to a 'man' because of some archaic sense of idol worship. I luv Prince and have done so for more than 25 years... non-stop... but every morning he wakes up... he is just a man... as am I. And as a man... he is not with out fault and can be wrong. As I have said a few times on this issue.... "...just because you have rights... don't mean you are right". I suport his cause in going after the organizations which make a profit at his and other artist's expense... but I don't support his actions vs.the fans sites whose members are a large source of the profits he has made over the past three decades. As I said in my song.. "What the hell U doing coming after Ur fans We ain't the ones making money off of U man The only one making money here is U Cause we pay Ur ass 4 every fuckin' thing that U do" And lastly.... if you have anything else to comment to me directly about this issue... take it up in IM please... there are enough threada debating this subject already... and this wans't meant to be one of them.
