Hey, I've a question, or two. First things first, no more hating.
Now. At the start of 'eye no' he says "The reason why my voice is so cool is because there's no smack on my brain". Does this have anything to do with the reason he pulled the black album(drugs related)? What era was Prince at his most coolest? Is he stifling a laugh in 'bob george' when he says "Who the fuck do you think this is? I'll kick yo ass, twice"? Where did the rumour that he had a couple of ribs removed so he could pleasure himself oraly, come from? Did you know 'Xenophobia' from the one nite alone tour is a song that was on an Eric Leeds album? (Ya'll probably new but I said it anyway. Not sure of the name of it cause i lost my copy of it, damn.) Isn't 'On the couch' an amazing song? Somebody get me a mirror!

Quite probable I guess. But whether he's specifically refering to 'drugs' is another matter though. He could easily just be refering to his own feelings of negativity or whatever. Only Prince knows. What era was Prince at his most coolest?
They're all cool Is he stifling a laugh in 'bob george' when he says "Who the fuck do you think this is? I'll kick yo ass, twice"?
Err... I dunno. Mabye Where did the rumour that he had a couple of ribs removed so he could pleasure himself oraly, come from?
I don't know exactly where it originated, but it's often a rumor that gets tagged along to any artist who's overtly sexual/androgynous. Marilyn Manson copped it too, and I think I remember reading somewhere that it was copped by Little Richard before Prince. Did you know 'Xenophobia' from the one nite alone tour is a song that was on an Eric Leeds album?
The song you're refering to is "Overnight, Every Night" from his Times Squared album, which was more or less a collection of Madhouse outtakes cleaned up for Eric's solo album. It's not exactly the same. Similar line, but definately not similar enough to be called a cover. Isn't 'On the couch' an amazing song?
Yes it is. Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

Yea, that album sucks. I don't think that statement has anything to do with that RUMOR of him using drugs back then.

Yea, that album sucks. I don't think that statement has anything to do with that RUMOR of him using drugs back then. No, I have no idea about Prince's experiments with that side of life... Black is a shade, and my turntable broke, otherwise I would play it again, to be reminded of the material on there. Although, I remember not desiring the album, "The Black album" never stopped me from wanting to hear everything Prince offered. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...
