from a former "fam". I just have to get this out to people who would understand. I know there are a lot of you who still love him the same way as you did 10 years ago and I'm jealous of you. I wish I could see past the man Prince is and see him as solely and amazing performer and musician.....
Prince needs to wake up. Without “fams” like the ones on the sites he is suing, who would pay for his INSANE concert ticket prices? Who else would buy his less than impressive current albums? It says enough that he has to give them away. Without his “fams” he wouldn’t have that pretty Paisley building of his. Prince needs to get away from Princeland for a while and join the real world. Thankfully I've moved on from being the huge "fan" I was before. Most of my memorbililia is sold off and I haven't been to a concert in years. I'm thankful for the memories and the music but I just can't respect Prince as a human being anymore. After how he treated Mayte (probably Manuela too), his staff, his "fams..." He's lucky people still love Purple Rain so much. (yeah, I went there.) I never thought of covering up my symbol tattoo until recently. That's really depressing to me. Thankfully the symbol represents the album more to me than him. Again, this is my 2 cents. I know the .org is famous for word wars but I come in peace. You have to do what you have to do, but if you're leasving don't blame it on the way Prince has treated anybody else that's none of your business. What has he personally done to you? NOTHING, you don't even know him. He's got a right to control the work that he has put his heart asnd soul into, and if he takes videos off the internet or his own pictures down , so what they're HIS pictures. Do you have a life outside of the internet? Because if you do you will find that Prince has not affected that at all. | |

Me, too, except I'm not jealous at all of people who are madly in love with him. I don't have the same level of respect that I've had for him for many, many years. I consider myself now to be a "casual listener", and only of his older stuff..

Yes I know he hasn't done anything to me but the way he treated a friend of mine that worked VERY close to him and how he was with Mayte. I know how he was with Mayte because I do know her. It's amazing how much she is florishing without being under his thumb. | |
