Just listening to this song on the way home from work-this is the jam!! I love to hear Prince sing about the i in "PIMP" and Angie's voice is beautiful also. I gotta stop letting the devil tell me how to be a woman- love it!

Brilliant Song! I find it amazing how Prince can take any genre, and in this case gospel, deconstruct it and produce something singular and unique. With proper promotion this song could've been a black radio classic.

I also think the song's themes of economics, black capitalism and their impact on relationships is interesting.

Those who think P hasn't done anything worthwhile in the last ten years are either lazy or sleeping. Add this to "Avalanche" as modern day P classics.

Before NoveauDance comes on and slates it, I must say... this is a gorgeous track with one of Prince's greatest vocal deliveries. If you can't hear the soul in his voice then you have a cold, cold heart.
