musically - Prince's next plans

What do you think Prince's next plans will be musically? He mentioned putting out a flute like album (I think) a while back.
I'm hoping that he'll put together some more funky tunes and release it sometime next year - here's hoping.
What do you think Prince will do, what do you hope he does?

I heard the same thing about doing something with flutes.
I'd be all for that. I love "Somewhere Here on Earth," "Life can be so nice," "Te Amo Corazon," and "The Dance" because he uses flutes in those.

Based on Planet Earth and this is what I hope he does:
I can see him taking what he did in that album and taking it to the next level. Kinda like what he did with SOTT after Parade.

If he did that, I'd be more than pleased. Because whatever vein of inspiration he used for that album, it worked really well for him and he should go with that.

It is my opinion, but whatever path he chooses, I'll support it if he believes its the right move for him to make. cool That's pretty much my attitude towards his new material. [heh, but with PE, I was personally hoping for something better than 3121... and you know what, I got my wish biggrin ]
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

Re-release albums "For You", "Dirty Mind" and "Controversy". Now that would be interesting. This won't happen probably but it would be a great idea...

I hope he brings out some songs with ripping guitar. It's been a while. I didn't really hear one solo on PE that made me go "Damn" and then wanna go play. Except the one at the end of Lion of Judah
Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

Personally i dont think we will get a new 'regular' Prince album in 2008.

It will probably be:
- A 21 nights in London DVD
- A Crystal Ball part 2 - kind of thing
- Maybe some 'new' songs to download on 3121.com

I wish he would have an unbirthday party and realize that he supports the arts when he calls us all together.
The haircut is smooth.
Prince could sit on a rock on highway 61
playing a funky flute next to frozen froth-
I'd bring all the kids I could-
he's the greatest musician ever and from the great
Lake Superior state they could get a double dose of history and geography.
Play That Funky Flute,Baby!

What about the symphony he mentioned in an interview not so long ago? I'm sure he said, some time this year, that he'd like to work on a symphony.
Personally I'd be curious to see him do something classical. I'm sure many here will say 'this is not Prince', but treading into new territories and being experimental is certainly his cup of tea.
Also, I've heard he can play dozens of instruments, but I wonder, does anyone know if he can play the violin? I've never seen him play it [incl. in videos]. Would be interesting... and I think pleasantly unexpected - we are so used to see his fingers on a guitar or on keyboards.

It would be cool to see him drop the twinz and hookup with his real musician friends from the old days and just JAM.

I'd love it if he released a seriously funky album! I hope he doesn't expand on PE - personally I don't think it's the best album he's ever done (in fact for me personally it's one of his worst)

I was really hoping for a London 21 boxset and DVD but I'm not entirely sure we'll be seeing that, which would be a gigantic shame.

It'd be very interesting to see his 'something with flutes' - not really my bag, but variety is the spice of life...
I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

He'll perform live somewhere & get a lot of positive press, only to shoot himself in the foot again with another idiotic PR move.

Twenty years ago Village Voice held a workshop/forum in Minneapolis. The topic was music as a revolutionary force. Bagpipes were mentioned as a way to gather the forces in Scotland.Prince has great legs, I'd love to see him dancin' with some pipes. With our favorite Spice Girl re-opening the revolutionary ballroom.
